A 400 Square Degrees Serendipitous ROSAT PSPC Cluster Survey.
Abstract
Our new survey is specially designed to detect a large number of X-ray luminous galaxy clusters out to redshift z ≈ 1. We describe the construction and current status of the survey, as well as the results of recent observations of our cluster candidates on Russian 1.5-m telescope AZT-22 at the TUBITAK National Observatory (Turkey). To demonstrate a potential of the survey we obtain constraints on the evolution of most luminous clusters using a small subsample, which was best observed so far.
